Both games suffered numerous delays and were released way past the release dates of their films (In both cases almost a two year gap.) The game loosely borrowed it's plot from the 1996 film Mission: Impossible, starring Tom Cruise.
Mission Impossible was announce alongside Goldeneye 007 as one of the first games for the Nintendo 64 system.
